BUILDING A CLOUD COMPUTER

A cloud computer refers to technology which utilizes the internet to manage and store data on remote servers. A cloud computer offers benefits including accessibility, scalability and long term storage of useful information. A cloud computer help users access data from their devices including laptops, tablets or even smart phones.

Building a cloud computer will involve deciding the use case of the cloud computer since it’s functionality can be rendered to different uses. Therefore the cloud can be private or public and can also be the combination of both which will be referred to as hybrid which can be more efficient for many use cases.

A cloud computer must also have a data center which it’s role will be to organize, process, store and disseminate large amounts of data. The data center contains features such as servers containing chain of networks including ventilation and cooling systems. The process of building the cloud computer involves the deciding of what type of service it will be offering which includes: Infrastructure as a service, software as a service and platform as a service. These offerings are based on the three layers in cloud computing stack which are infrastructure, platform and applications.

Building an efficient cloud computing service will need to have some major inclusion to make it more functional: database functionality for storing, managing and accessing data stored in the cloud, DevOps (development and operations) for deployment of already developed software, information security to prevent unauthorized and malicious activities against sensitive data.

Virtualization in building a cloud computer plays a pivotal role in the construction of a cloud computer, facilitation the efficient allocation and management of computing resources. Through virtualization technologies such as hypervisors and containers, physical hardware resources are abstracted and partitioned into virtual instances, which can be dynamically provisioned and deployed across the cloud infrastructure. This abstraction layer enables multi-tenancy, enabling multiple users or applications to coexist on the same physical hardware while maintain g isolation and security.

In conclusion building a cloud computer involves revolutionizing how computing resources are provisioned, managed and utilized. Achieving this goal involves the utilisation of various technologies including distributed computing, virtualization, network technologies and more so cryptographic measures in order to achieve top notch security.
